Since washing the high chair tray gets old pretty quick, it’s been convenient that the arms on Rowan’s high chair fold down so that she can sit with us at the table. On the other hand, feeding her without the tray allows her more freedom of movement, and of course she’s taken full advantage…

Time to muscle down some grub. Hey Ma, how come these strawberries have this gnarly green stuff attached to the end?

I have learned much from my senior sis, who also swallows her grindage whole. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Wipeout! I totally hillbellied on my sandwich! Busted!

Kickball, funky relay races, and sticky sugary treats. That’s what field day is all about. Don’t you remember? It was obvious they saved the most important life skills for the end of the school year.

What skills you ask? Well, holding a sopping wet sponge with just my chin is something I do everyday…

Or passing a rubber chicken using only your elbows. That comes in handy all the time!

Drew got first place in the chicken throw. Just look at that technique! And while you’re looking, check out that substitute teacher! Somebody call Geico, we found their missing cavewoman!

The cost of NASCAR pit crew training was pricey, but worth every penny. 

Today Drew is officially a first grader. Hey Ma, I done gradumamated! Do ya feel lucky, punk?

Mr. organized list maker made sure we packed all the necessary ingredients to ensure a good time at the splash party.

One year down, 12 to go. Congrats future class of 2021! We’ll remember always, especially with these awesome kindergarten scrapbooks Drew’s teacher put together.

The proud graduate and his fantastic teacher. And by fantastic, we mean supercalafragalisticexpealadocious. If it was a real word, it would describe the awesomeness that was Drew’s kindergarten year, thanks to this lady.

Not only Drew will miss her.  We had plans. She was supposed to teach Brinley when she goes to Kindy…good thing we rent. We can follow this teacher wherever she may go! hi ho!

It doesn’t matter if you go to all-day kindergarten or half-day kindergarten, you still get a whole snow cone. Brinley snagged one too, and was too busy to smile for the camera, of course. 

Now that school’s out, it’s time to let that inner bad boy out too. Rebellious move #1: Get a tattoo!

Rest assured, there will be no mohawk, or faux-hawk for that matter, following this tattoo. Nope, nuh-uh, no how, no way.

Rebellious move #2: Convince little sister to get a tattoo too. Awesome!

And that marks the beginning of summer! YA-HOO!

While the boy has been busy schooling himself, the ballerina has been polishing her skills every week getting ready for the big recital. She’s had a great time with her ballerina friends, and has been anxiously awaiting her stage debut.

Hair: Did and done.

Makeup: Oh la la! Jeepers creepers, where’d she get those peepers?

Dance floor: Burning smell noted!

Nerves? Puh-leeeeze, not an ounce! Is it my turn yet? Is it my turn yet? Is it my turn yet? How many more of these piano songs do I have to listen to?

8 months of training has prepared me for this moment…

Her self-confidence grew by leaps and twirls as they performed their routine in front of the crowd.

After the standing ovation, she emerged victorious and proud with a beautiful bouquet in her hands and a big smile on her face.
