As hard as it is\u00a0to get everyone up, ready and out the door by 9am, it sure is nice to come home and have the whole day ahead of us!<\/p>\n<p>This last Sunday the kids had\u00a0quickly burned through their daily ration of\u00a0construction paper, so it was time to open up a whole new avenue of cheap\u00a0creativity: marshmallow tinker toys!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/winnie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1341\" title=\"winnie\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/winnie.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/winnie.jpg 425w, http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/winnie-200x200.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Arrr! Here be One-Eyed-Cap&#8217;n Drew deep in the construction process.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/soserious.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1348\" title=\"soserious\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/soserious.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"638\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As with any other craft, both kids were quite serious about their creations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/focus.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1358\" title=\"focus\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/focus.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"638\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cubes were the most favorite builds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/cube.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1344\" title=\"cube\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/cube.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Or maybe the easiest and most versatile?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/brinleyscube.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1343\" title=\"brinleyscube\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/brinleyscube.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"638\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Even more favorite was eating the creations. Waaaaaaay tastier than tinker toys.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/snack.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1347\" title=\"snack\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/snack.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"638\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Drew got very technical in his Mater tribute,\u00a0but found that marshmallows are not as dense as he had hoped. It&#8217;s OK Drew, Mater isn&#8217;t big on details&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/nervous.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1346\" title=\"nervous\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/nervous.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Got &#8216;er done!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/apearm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1342\" title=\"apearm\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/oscarstew.com\/spew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/apearm.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"638\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the marshmallows had dried out they were tough as nails and\u00a0D&amp;B discovered that they could actually play with their new toys.
