under the weather

It started with Ryan, then spread to Rowan and I. Drew and Brinley were able to stave off the cold for a few days, but eventually went down together. We are all in varying stages of illness & recovery.

We’ve been taking naps, and watching lots of movies.

Taking numerous hot, steamy showers, and playing quietly inside.

Oscar has been pitching in, making sure Drew settles down and takes his recommended naps.

I think we have made it over the hump. Snotty noses, raspy coughs and wadded up tissue will soon be behind us. Until then, I am trying to enjoy the rarity of all thee kids sleeping at the same time!

wall*e & eve

Drew and Brinley have been wanting to see Wall*e since it came out in June. Actually, I think Ryan really wanted to see Wall*e, and the kids were excited about it because that was all Daddy talked about. But we are cheapos and waited for a rainy day and the marvelous “Moonlight Matinee” ticket price to go.

Drew and Brinley found some old boxes in the basement and wall-ah, two happy robots.

Brinley looks so happy to have finally been adopted. Hopefully she found a nice forever-family.

Wall*e called. He wants his costume back.

Drew*e being taken back to the mothership.

You’d think it was pushing our luck to take all three kids to the theater, but we were pleasantly surprised when 97 minutes went by without a glitch!

Rowan gives Wall*e two binkies up.

Welcome to the floor! We’re so glad that you stopped by…

Twiggy is not so twiggy any more. She is chubbing up nicely…

Looks like Rowan inherited mommy’s muscle toes! Can you do that?

One more cutsie foot picture, and then we’ll try to get back to the show.

Not so fast. Cheddar crashed the set looking for his script. He isn’t nearly as cute sprawled out on a blanket, but was hoping he might just get as much lovin’ as she does. Poor, poor kitty.

She thought it was pretty funny too.

Rowan’s trying to make sure all eyes are on her, not her feline opponent.

Here she goes, trying to move that big noggin.

If your head was the heaviest part of your body, your face might look like this too.

Oops, faceplant! Cut!

Mission accomplished! Successful avoidance of the camera; she must be taking notes from D&B.

Aerial view.

And that’s a wrap! Stop by tomorrow for another heart-clogging helping of Oscar Stew! MMMmmm, meaty!
