rowan’s audience

Rowan has been a little fussy today, so we dusted off the ‘ole swing, and wa-la, she was sawing logs (ok, more like filing twigs in her case) complete with her mouth gaping open for 2.5 hours.

As I walked by her room collecting laundry, I noticed that the kids dolls and stuffed animals had all migrated into her room, and were intently watching as she slept.

Drew & Brinley took every precaution to make sure their precious babies were seat-belted and buckled into their various seating devices correctly. Monkey see, monkey do.

10 days of rowan

Time is flying by! It doesn’t feel like it’s been 10 days, but we’ve enjoyed every minute of it. Rowan is doing very well, and is trying all sorts of new things. She is even surprising us with 4-6 hour streches of sweet slumber at night!

Rowan has been adored many times over by her big brother…

No thumb sucker here. Rowan found binkie love, and is quite fond of the soothie style.

She had her first bath, which she was NOT a fan of!

She even tried to start a fight. Look at that grip!

Finally she decided that being clean ain’t so bad.

We attempted a photoshoot, and she was ready to pose.

Photoshoots are hard work. Fortunately, a sleeping baby is a fantastic subject!

Caught some sweet sleepy smiles. A preview of what’s to come?

She got lots of love from big sister Brinley. Two princesses, hopefully not from the same diva pod.

Awesome Aunt Kristy flew in to help us out for a week. Thanks Kristy!

We went on our first outing to Target. A girl’s gotta get her shop on early right?

And we tried our luck with another photoshoot…

Here Rowan is showing off her birthmark, one of many stork bites, and battle wounds from Biliruben tests.

That’s enough! Time for another nap!

grandpa, grandmas, & motorcycles oh my!

Grandpa & Grandpa F rode over to our house on Saturday to see Rowan. Drew & Brinley were much more interested in checking out their motorcycles. They wanted to push all the buttons and flip all the switches, just like they like to do in the car when we’re not looking…

Looks like a dogpile on Grandpa and tickle his feet. AAAAAAAA!

Grandma J stayed with us last week, but sadly had to return home to go do something she called “work.” Hmm, never heard of it. We can’t thank her enough for all the help she was last week. Our pantry and fridge are stuffed to the gills!
