In a world where thousands of letterboxes are hidden, dedicated special agents seek them out in a relentless fury. Some letterboxes are very difficult to find; others are hidden in plain sight. Each box hunt presents a different challenge, but these soldiers are armed to the teeth!

Agent 007 has no issue with creeping through the darkest parts of the jungle in pursuit of this elusive treasure.

Here’s a photo of myself and some of 007’s henchmen. A word of caution: They are mercenaries who will stop at nothing to locate the cache, especially that one with the horns!

This is a top secret photo of 005 reaching for her sidearm, or her armpit…not really sure. But we do know that these are the current marks that these operatives make at each of their hits.

Agent 005 has even been so bold as to sign and date her finds…

Doctoring personnel files is a walk in the park for this spook.

We followed 007 & 005 into perilous terrain but were unable to locate their stronghold.

 

 

While 007 & 005 had us lost in the rock swamp this investigator was going rogue. Agent Ro-gue…Ha!

You might expect that with a trail so well worn that these two spies would steer clear. But you’d be wrong, because even spies like the “easy way”.

Just because a letterbox is easy to find doesn’t mean it gets special treatment. Just look at 007 pressing that stamp for more intel! Vee hav vayz ov makeen yu tok!

Now spies are not known for working up a sweat. But maybe a little perspiration is necessary to enjoy all the comforts of a spy lifestyle?

Spy Convention 2010 group photo. Yes, spies have conventions too. Agents 007 and Red Deforestation were still using their cover ID’s to avoid detection by mob queen Hot Mamasita.

It appears that Agent Zero has successfully infiltrated this heinous group as an informant to the Company. Little does Wind In Her Hair know about Zero’s mischievous plans! And 007 and Red Desert are really working those disguises!

Back in the field the master sleuths were hot on the trail. Seriously, it was like 100 that day! This operative stayed cool and collected and continued to feed us with valuable liquid gold intel…

There wasn’t enough room for everyone on the OR-V. Red Moon tried to console 005 as they made their way through the jungle, and it seems that she has put off her plans to defect to the North.  Huh???

Another mission accomplished. I spy muscles….little ones…

Looks like the gang has settled in for a stake-out. I don’t know that the middle of the road is the most inconspicuous spot to do this…

If these spies were concerned about becoming known as local thugs, a road trip was the cure. There will be more about our mountain adventure in the next spew, but suffice it to say there are plenty of letterboxes along I-70 to keep these agents happy.

Once or five times Red Twig had to give a little assistance in the search for the boxes. It seems that Rogue was able to make do…

As a letterbox spy, make sure you always carry your piece. 005 is a crack shot with the AK-H2Omelon.

The location of this letterbox remains a mystery. The agents only said that it has No Name.

How can these agents be so carefree when those battleships have them in their crosshairs? Oh yes I forgot, the watermelon forcefield of course!

As they retreated from their mission in the wilderness, Rogue made sure to show off her new tattoos while getting juiced up for her next assignment.

007 & 005 took to the sea onboard the Flagship Denver and located yet another treasure on the upper deck of the outdoorsman’s schooner…It takes talent to go unnoticed while discovering a letterbox indoors!

The senior agents returned back to port and enjoyed shore leave with Captain Redfuzz.

While processing this find, some toxic waste was located near the letterbox. Fortunately these are our top agents and are well-versed in many words of wisdom…

As if fresh, delicious, organic raspberries and strawberries weren’t enough, there so happens to be reason for a letterbox spy to roam around the patch as well. But now I’ve said too much, and must now endure punishment from Agent Rogue….hiiiiiiiiiiiyah!

 

Summer days driftin’ away, and we’ve had us a blast. Now we’ve got to cruise down memory lane and bring you up to date on the past.

Here’s the crew, crazy and cute as can be. They’re all blindfolded for a surprise they can’t see. We went to a place where what they serve’s frozen. Most of the time it gets all over Rowan.

Too much rain on the fourth, caused the lights in the sky to be moved to the fifth, of course!

We came to watch bombs burst, but it was a bust when the goatheads came poking right from under us!

It was horrible! We made a scene! Now we’ve been recruited to get this car clean…

It’s alright, this job we can rock, we aint your average new kids on the block.

Man up, water down, don’t use too much or the driveway might drown! That’s the story I’m selling him anyway, he’s not the one who’s gotta pay.

Scrub here, scrub there. Can you find dirt anywhere?

All that hard work is making them sweat, but that doesn’t give this one a reason to fret.

She’s got time to wiggle her toes, make funny noises and gaze at rainbows.

Rainbows?!  What the muff? Don’t you know what goes along with that stuff? Thunder, lightning, maybe hail too! Keep an eye on the sky or it might get you!

It’s all good, we didn’t hear so much as a pop, and now we can rest while enjoying this here lollipop.

See, it’s not a lump on my head. This ball of sticky goodness just so happens to be red. 

I peed in the pot, not in my pants, so I’ll enjoy this reward before I hand it off to the ants.

When you’re seven, you should learn to quilt,  it’s even manlier than wearing a kilt.

Even a sewing machine can be a man’s best friend. It’s guaranteed to wins the ladies’ hearts in the end.

 

Pin. Sew. Press. That’s the name of the game. Hey Binnie, don’t you think that headband looks kinda….the same? As your dress I mean. I wouldn’t want to say something to make you scream.

Oops! It’s okay, doing everything right the first time would get boring, they say…

It’s OK Binnie, you’re beginning to learn, right sides together prevents heartburn!

There you go, almost finished now. It’ll be a masterpiece that makes everyone say WOW!

Feeling hungry? Get out the pot! Cook something yummy but doesn’t make your teeth rot.

In the macaroni goes, make sure to turn down the heat or it might overflow!

Hey! You two with the book! Remember when that mean guy in the movie said not everyone can cook?

Can’t fool us, this stuff is the best! Our ears to the critics are deaf!

Why are you so good at making a mess, and always manage to enjoy sugar while in a dress?

They got little hands, little eyes, little noses, and little teeth, but I don’t mind having short people around me.

The pooch has gone hooch!

At the end of the day, when it’s all been done, go watch a tractor. It’s for fun.

That’s it, I can’t go any farther. Trying to rhyme about this many pictures is just getting harder. The end.

Sometimes…I am mean to my kids.

I told him I’d give him frosting. I just didn’t say where. Even the innocent received no mercy. Eleanor couldn’t keep her eyes off those delicious browned butter rice krispy treats.

We continue to reap the benefits of the hail-storm. (ha!)

 

Say hi to Sal. He and two of his bro’s were in one of our window wells looking mighty thirsty. After putting them in water and watching them double in size we knew they were ready to be released from captivity. Sal & Co. are working hard in the pond near our house to demolish the mosquito population, or so we hope.

Your corn stalks are supposed to be “knee-high by 4th of July” but we are running behind. It’s better to be late than never! We plunged ourselves into getting a garden going as quickly as we could. We even contracted out for more help, but this one wouldn’t name her price.

This little worker was quite content as she churned the manure into the tough Colorado clay. She may have added some manure of her own…

Fuzz-head decided she could at least supervise. How’s our project lookin’ boss?

 

Where would we be without our right hand man? We wouldn’t have anything growing yet, that’s for sure!

Even the boss seems to be happy with the progress! Can we get a raise?

Which girl got dirtier? Either way, both are gonna sleep well tonight!

It’s fun to watch these two get closer to being the buddies they’ll be in the years to come.

Day 2: Is it really? Feels more like 8 or 9. Let’s start off the day with lots of color. Looks like the supe is noticing their handywork.

That day was a hot one. Cloud cover was not to be found. Then a sprinkler came sneaking up from behind…

Bam! Forget Waterworld! The sprinkler swing is tops!

A quick cold blast in the 90+ degree heat was all these little mud diggers needed to get back on the job.

Ok, maybe it took a few cold blasts. Again! Again!

Now that we’re cooled off we can stand the heat for a few moments while we make something out of this box of dirt. Ready…Set…Plant!

 

 

 

Cheddar took a turn supervising. He wanted to know if any catnip or tuna seeds were being planted. How about salmon beans? Bummer dude.

A hard week’s work is finally finished! The payout? Homemade peach ice cream in a cone! We’re rich!

 

…And exhausted. All that supervising knocked this girl out!
