e-blessed
Eleanor April 15th, 2010At last, my blessing day post is here! It was a great weekend filled with family, fun and sunshine. I know you’ve been waiting for the pictures to hit the presses, this oughta fill your much-needed fix…for today!
Mommy finally got her sewing machine purring like Cheddar and opened the floodgates of her fabric creativity. First, she found a pattern from the 1950’s and got to work. Behold, the elegance!
I got spiffed up and pampered in preparation for my big day. Check out my “professionally” manicured nails!
My pedicure looks pretty good too. There is history sewn into this dress: The lace on it is from my Great Grandma Leatrice’s fabric stockpile. Only thing is, Leatrice never had any girls. So even though she passed 20 years ago, it looks like the lace was saved for me!
And the reveal! Peek-A-Boo!
Has Mommy mentioned that I am a happy baby?
Look Mommy, look! There’s some groupie love headed down the stairs to tell me how cute I look!
Have you had enough pics of me yet? I didn’t think so!
Aw shucks Mama, the photoshoot was easy. It’s the other kids’ loss if they don’t like their picture taken as much as I do. Let’s go meet my fans!
Brinley, are you looking at the camera? And smiling?! Does Mommy have to make you a new dress every time she needs you to pose?
That’s a sweet tie Drew. And you’re not looking too shabby yourself Rowan!
Drew tried to get Ro-dog to look at the camera but she would have none of it. The daffodils were far more interesting to look at.
Mommy actually succeeded at getting a nice pic of all four of us! I was exempt from looking at the camera, so instead I soaked up the sun and took a quick snooze.
Daddy!?! I can’t see my adoring fans! Where are you taking me? Oh, it’s time to go get official? Hurry up Daddy! Ciao everybody!
Oh she is too adorable! Love the dress! Love the BOW!
Those pictures are so beautiful! I love the first one. That little Eleanor is such a doll! Awesome job on the dress, you have officially moved up to “sewing idol” on my list!!
What? How can your family be so flippin’ cute? What a happy day for you guys:-)
She looks soooo beautiful in her dress!! I LOVE the pictures!! She is so pretty! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!
I love that darling dress you made!! And the big girl ones are cute too! You totally amaze me with your talent! (and make me a tad jealous)
Girl, is they anything that you cannot do? BEAUTIFUL dresses! The blessing dress is so elegant, and the other two girls dresses…well my first thought was can I buy a “custom slot” from you? 🙂
Beautiful family you have there! I love the one of them all on the front step together. You guys have grown so much in 7 years.
And little Eleanor, so has really filled out already. Such a sweet happy smile! She has her own special look to her, but I can definitely tell she is one of the magnificent four!
I love the dresses! You do such a great job! Eleanor is such a pretty baby, she looks so sweet too. All of your kids are adorable.
Beautiful!! I love all the dresses and the tie, jealous- I need to learn how to sew!
Oh she is just so beautiful. They are all so cute. Good job on the dress!
Oh Amy, you are a wonder! Your sewing skills are first rate! Little Eli looks just darling, and I got a lump in my throat reading about grandma’s lace..
AWWWWW… everything about this post is adorable. I love the blessing dress, I love the girls outfits and Drew’s tie. That is so awesome you made those dresses. You could earn big money for them. I just love your posts.
I thought I posted a comment but it didn’t post. I really love this post. Your new baby is adorable. I love how you captured her smiling. I also love the dresses you made your girls. They are adorable.
Those are some beautiful little kiddies you have! and always attired so well! What a cute happy little girl you have. I have no words to describe how much I love all the dresses and tie. And you always seem to choose my favorite fabric, the ones I long over my computer screen for ages and never buy.
