Attention everyone! It’s time for today’s staff meeting. Ok, to start off we are going to review the highlights of the Hexabob Conference last week. Please direct your attention to the monitor in front of you for a quick slideshow…

Ah, it’s good to see everyone was excited to attend this great event. As this special co-worker is indicating, this was the 6th annual meeting of Hexabob Industries, a division of Brinley Holdings, LLC.

img_5452

All of the company’s new products were on display for our review. Did anyone else try the human maypole machine? Awesome!

img_5466

What would a review of the business trip be if we didn’t talk about the food? The conference started with some delicious frosted treats topped with “Math Mountain” equations…Not just yummy, but also good for the mind!

img_5478

Surprise! We were able to bring home some of those delicious cupcakes!  Hooray for extras!  My assistant is coming to each of your cubicles. Please take only one…This could get ugly when Daddy & Rowan fight for the last one!

img_5481

I’d like to give a special thanks to our security team for doing a fabulous job accommodating our guest of honor. She wanted to mingle at the conference incognito, and our security staff came up with a great costume and face mask!

img_5488

We can’t say that we didn’t have ulterior motives. We needed her to stay out of the dining hall until we could reveal this handcrafted beauty!

img_5494

We knew it was time when the team gave us the password “Is my cake ready now? Now? How about now? Now?”

img_5489

We immediately escorted Ms. Brinley to the VIP room where she and some of the top executives enjoyed a delicious meal made to her order…homemade macaroni & cheese!

img_5498

Once dinner was over it was time for her to give a few inspiring words to the company. The house lights dimmed, the stage lights came up, and everyone in the crowd started chanting!

img_5505

Then she revealed her long awaited plan on how to snuff out the competition!

img_5513

Cut without hesitation or remorse Ms. Brinley! This guitar’s for you!

img_5517

It’s only right to keep the best piece for yourself, but we greatly appreciate her willingness to share with the masses…

img_5520

Citing the 24th consecutive quarter of growth, Ms. Brinley boldly demonstrated the rate at which we are devouring the competition!

img_5528

Thanks to everyone for attending today’s meeting, and a special thanks to you Bin-bob! You’ve done us proud for 6 years and we’re looking forward to many happy and exciting years to come!

What is letterboxing, you ask? Aside from solving clues to locate a hand-carved stamp, it’s an activity that has taken us to all kinds of really cool parks, trails, businesses (etc), that we didn’t even knew existed. It’s been really fun to become more familiar and discover something new in all the different cities and places we’ve been.

We don’t run into wildlife too often while on the trail. That may be because we bring the wildlife with us, right Rowan?!

img_3858

How’s it going? No complaints from the senior explorers. That means Daddy will push them to find “just” one more box before a bathroom break…

img_3866

Turns out the bathroom break should’ve come first. Sorry Rowan, it’s not your fault; here kids, eat these homemade suckers as an apology for bladder discomfort!

img_3883

It was going to happen sooner or later:

img_3885

I’m not sure how sanitary this was, but it made the princess happy. Can’t you see him smiling?

img_3888

6 boxes in one day! Nice work troops! Let’s stop by the mess hall for a messy treat!

img_3873

Make…sure…you get…every…last…drop…

img_3875

New day, new adventure. We’re standing at the birthplace of the cheeseburger! It seems unlikely to me that the restaurant that once stood here was really the first to think of putting cheese on a patty, but the sign says that this was where it was trademarked! Looks like Nellie is waiting for one to fall from the sky…

img_4500

You might call this slackboxing. This letterbox is always in the same spot, but the stamp changes every month. I guess that’s why it’s called the Box of the Month?

img_4466

What would a letterboxing adventure be without breaking the law?

img_4479

That’s not exactly what I meant by pull up, Drew. C’mon Binnie, do it like a girl! Raarrrr!

img_4468

Cheater cheater!

img_4469

Nice job Rowan, see ya later!

img_4473

When you have multiple (b)rats to help sniff out the cheese they insist that every rat get the same number of finds…

img_4482

Good work Roastie! Sometimes the hardest part of finding a box is deciphering the difficult clues…

img_4483

…and when it takes too long, this mini-explorer’s display of impatience is downright unholy. (face cropped to maintain G rating status)

img_4487

Awww, what a nice big sister! Will a kiss and playtime in the sand make it all better?

img_4491

Looks like it’s a formula for success!

img_4493

‘Nother afternoon, ‘nother round of boxes. This time we’re going urban! There’s a lot of different kinds of balls in the world, and this shrine has most of them on display…

img_4385

Zoom in for close up. Rowan’s running the bases while D&B get a quick summary of Rockies baseball history…

img_4386

Keep checkin’ our 6 Drew, there might be somebody following us! Like that lady with the camera…she looks suspicious!

img_4389

No need to worry with Rowan on our side. While we were stamping there was like a killer bee that tried to sting her nose. And when 50 ninjas attacked her, she had to defeat them. And she did, and then they were all crying. And that was after she destroyed the giant meteor and received the key to the city!

img_4392

The statues in the city are so life-like! They move and even make obnoxious noises!

img_4395

Hey Drew, if Denver floods, what are you going to do? Well, that’s one idea…

img_4403

Glad to see Ellie is still enjoying the adventure. Even more glad to see Amy’s face on the blog!

img_4405

Swing time! Just what the doctor ordered…

img_4408

…And it so happens to be the location of the last letterbox for today! Whaddya think about that Elle?!

img_4414

FYI: if you move side to side to keep yourself in front of your kid while she swings, it makes her laugh till she’s hiccupping nonstop.

img_4441

This is not your Daddy’s tire swing. Who cares?
